ABOUT ADOPT
ADOPT is a return to a development mindset of 2000s JDM tuners, when the newly-released Z33 platform had ample Japanese tuning parts available for dedicated enthusiasts at all levels.
At that time, companies were in full swing development at all levels. Legendary tuning shops such as MCR, RASTY, MINE's, and YASHIO FACTORY were invited to compete in NISMO's one-make race series, Z-CAR CHALLENGE, using prototype NISMO R-tune/Competition parts that were never released.
In 2026, aversion to a dampened economy, 20-year old platforms, and general risk-taking has prevented fresh development of older enthusiast platforms.
ADOPT was created specifically to fulfill several goals related to bringing that mindset back to JDM tuning, namely:
- Finishing NISMO Supertouring development work on the NISMO R-tune Super-Taikyuu road car;
- Developing Supertouring homologation parts from BTCC, DTM, Super GT, Group A, and N1, usable by road cars;
- Restarting development of new parts for enthusiast platforms, regardless of age;
- Supporting rural Japanese tuning shops, and local production both domestic and international, via direct sale or special import;
- Coordinating new development with JDM companies such as KAAZ and APEX'i
- Archiving and sharing early 2000s tuning subculture in the US and Japan; and
- Investing in personal development of drivers, artists, multimedia creators, and subculture of all kinds beyond motorsports.
ADOPT's customers directly support all of the above efforts, and is deeply appreciative of their patronage.
