SERVICE: OE/racing rotor resurfacing, slotted/drilled compatible

A mail-in service for worn or warped rotors which uses an OEM orbital grinding stone to restore a rotor to OE finish with minimal material removal. Typical material removal for rotors at half life is 1.4mm.

Some OEM rotors are $3500+ each, and must be replaced before track events due to wear. This service allows in-spec rotors to be reused with a new, factory pad interface.

Shipping will be handled by Fedex Express or PirateShip for round trip. To use this service, your rotor's current as-worn width and in-specification widths must be provided. For most rotors, this is 2mm below the nominal thickness.

Can be used to:

- Remove judder. Rotor "warping" is caused by uneven pad deposits, so planing the pad compound away removes judder or shaking in pedal under braking.

- Prepare racing rotors for pad compound changes, especially before events.

- Extend expensive OEM rotor life for a second set of new pads. Even when either the pad or rotor are new, used materials have larger surface area and wear more quickly.

- Prepare racing and large OE rotors for circuit use by removing grooving/wear for swap to racing pads, reducing chances of pad knockback or abnormal wear. 

- Extend the life of racing rotors, including two-piece multislot and cross-drilled models, by removing grooving.

Not a lathe operation. This is an OEM production machine that uses diamond dust compounds with orbital grind wheels to resurface with very high planar accuracy. Finish is identical to OE and/or Brembo rotors, and shows crosshatching similar to cylinder bores.

Price changes depending on rotor size and features as they must be manually cleared mid-operation. Simple straight slotted rotors such as those from Project Mu do not incur any fees.
