ver. NISMO Z33 Yamaha performance chassis damper set

Identical to the long out of production OEM chassis damper set found in the 2007-2008 HR Autech ver. NISMO and ver. NISMO 380RS cars from factory. These dampers significantly reduce chassis NVH and improve front-end confidence by removing high-frequency vibrations from the steering wheel. The result is clear tire communication without any skittish or neurotic handling sensations. 

Ideal for those on Heim, rose, or metallic bushings which otherwise conduct high frequency vibrations and sounds into the chassis. Also ideal for those driving Touge routes where road conditions vary along mountain and forest roads, putting emphasis on front end control over textured road surfaces with very little margin for mistakes.

Fits 2003-2008 Z33. Retrofits to non-HR models without modification. Includes brackets and hardware necessary to mount. Install time less than 30 minutes.

Strictly subjective review:

I didn't expect much, so I threw them on. The difference is... stark, to say the least.

Immediate improvements to road handling, straight line stability, and a colossal reduction in what feels like general neurotic behavior from the car. The wheels are much more planted, the chassis doesn't shake much at all even during impacts, and general NVH has dropped maybe 50%. They're insane. Anyone else on metallic bushings will appreciate this reduction in NVH.

Driving impressions are very positive. The tires are planted, especially the front axle, over some poor road surfaces at high speeds typical of mountain passes. There were many places on the mountain I simply had to trust the front axle to not skitter around despite the sound and feeling of it. After the install, this skittishness has been cut down by as much as 75%. What previously sent shivers through the car instead comes off as a rounded, low rumble.
